Michele McPhee is the author of seven best-selling true crime books; a five-time Emmy-nominated producer in the ABC News Investigative Unit; a Pulitzer Prize nominated New York Daily News newspaper reporter; an award-winning Boston Herald columnist; a recipient of several national magazine accolades; a Writers Guild of America screenwriter; and podcaster.
A Boston native, she spent a decade in New York City as the Police Bureau Chief for the Daily News, traveling the world on breaking stories and has contributed to magazines around the globe including Newsweek; New York; The American; Boston; the Boston Globe; and others and is a frequent crime commentator on national documentaries and news shows. She returned to Boston as the police bureau chief of the Boston Herald, and then became a weekly columnist before joining the investigative unit at ABC News. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue a television writing career, wrote Episode 105 of the Showtime series “City On A Hill” and has sold several pilots based on her books and magazine articles.
